YSI's 1996 10-K lists Springfield Academy, SD as acquired 11/93 (YSI 10-K FY1996).
CSC listed it as a 108-bed owned non-secure academy in Springfield, South Dakota (1993) (CSC 10-K for 1999).
In January 2011 YSI said it would close the PRTF, which then housed 26 state-placed youth aged 12-18, after repeated escapes (Yankton Press & Dakotan, Jan 5, 2011).
