Troubled Teen Industry News

Utah officials placed Provo Canyon School’s Springville campus under heightened scrutiny after state inspectors found repeated harm to youth in its care. A recent video showed a staff member striking a child during a restraint, one of at least seven documented incidents over two years where young people were not kept safe. Survivors like Paris Hilton have spoken publicly about their experiences at the school, describing abuse and overmedication. Regulators now require more oversight, but the program continues to operate, housing over 100 teens with serious mental health needs.
