- Group therapy was often facilitated independently by behavioral health employees that are not required to maintain a clinical license (according to their own job listings).
- During "group therapy" that was orchestrated by someone who was not a licensed therapist, youth were prompted to share personal trauma triggers, and the employee leading this group proceeded to re-enact aspects of what was shared. (Ex: when a girl shared that men screaming in her presence scared her because of child sexual abuse, this male employee began to yell without cause).
- To my understanding, the level system has been discontinued, but there were formerly colors used to differentiate patients. "Red" patients were often subjected to more severe forms of malpractice. Your name was also written on your door in the color that you were assigned, and we were often required to carry a book that corresponded to our color when leaving our rooms.
