- Established in 1929 as an orphan's home run by the Fourth United Presbyterian Church of Allegheny County; renamed United Presbyterian Home for Children in the 1950s and Mars Home for Youth in the 1970s (Butler Eagle 2012).
- Renamed MHY Family Services in August 2012; it then offered long-term residential services for ages 12-18 and a new 28-day intensive residential program for ages 9-18 (Butler Eagle 2012).
